PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DIRECTIONS:

From Pennsylvania Station New York City or Penn Station Newark
From either station, take the Northeast Corridor Line to the New Brunswick Train Station. The New Brunswick Station is located 30 minutes away by train from Newark Penn Station. Once at the New Brunswick station, take a campus bus or taxi to the Life Sciences Buiding on the Busch Campus.

From Trenton Station
The New Brunswick station is located 20-30 minutes away from the Trenton Train Station using the Northeast Corridor Line. Please see the train schedules for fares and additional travel details.

From the New Brunswick Train Station by campus bus
If you exit at the George Street end of the station (north, or rear of the train if travelling from Newark/NYC), the campus bus stop may be reached by walking north (past the church) on George Street. At the intersection of Hamilton Street and George Street, turn left and walk to the intersection of Hamilton and College Avenue. A campus bus stop is located across from the Scott Hall building on College Avenue.

If you exit the train station at the Easton Avenue entrance (south, or front of the train if travelling from Newark/NYC) walk uphill on Easton Ave to the intersection of Easton Avenue and Somerset Street. Make a right on Somerset and walk one block to the intersection of College Avenue and Somerset Street. Turn left on College Avenue and walk to the campus bus stop at the intersection of College Avenue and Hamilton Street.

Take the A or H bus to the Busch Campus, Allison Road Classroom Building bus stop. Walk under the Alcohol Studies foot bridge to the intersection of Bevier Road and Allison Road. The Life Sciences Building will be located on your right. The New Jersey Center for Biomaterials is located on the ground floor of the Life Sciences Building.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From the NJ Turnpike

  1. Take Exit 9 onto Route 18 North.
  2. Stay on 18 North for approximately 4 miles (Do not exit at George St./Rutgers University). Cross the Raritan River (John Lynch Bridge) and follow the sign for Busch Campus (Do not exit at River Road).
  3. Continue along Route 18 and take the exit for Campus Road/ Rutgers Stadium/Busch Campus.
  4. Follow Campus Road to the rotary circle and follow around tothe second exit from rotary (Frelinghuysen Road).
  5. Continue on Frelinghuysen Road about 1/4 mile and turn right onto Allison Road.
  6. Follow Allison Road to its end and turn right onto Bevier Road.
  7. Follow Bevier Road, passing in front of the Life Sciences building, and continuing one block to Taylor Road.
  8. Turn left at Taylor Road, and then Left into the Visitor Parking Lot # 54 at the red-roofed kiosk.
  9. Walk back to the Life Sciences building and enter from Bevier Road

From Route 1

  1. Take exit “Route 18 North/New Brunswick”.
  2. Follow directions above beginning at #2.

From Route 287

  1. Take Exit 9 for “River Road/Highland Park”.
  2. Turn onto River Road toward Highland Park.
  3. After the 3rd traffic light (Hoes Lane), turn left onto Sutphen Road.
  4. Follow Sutphen to stop sign and turn left onto Frelinghuysen Road.
  5. Follow Frelinghuysen Road to the rotary circle and follow around to third exit (still Frelinghuysen).
  6. Follow directions above beginning at #5.

From Garden State Parkway

  1. Take exit 129 onto the New Jersey Turnpike South.
  2. Follow NJ Turnpike Directions above.
